I checked in at 10am and no rooms were ready which was understandable.. but I was told I would be contacted when a room was ready and I never was. When we returned to the hotel at 9:30pm I got put in a room with no AC. When I called the front desk to be moved there were no other rooms left, but I was told I could be relocated the next day and get a 70% refund for that night so I agreed to not check out and find a different hotel. Now, I’ve had hotels.com contact the hotel about that refund and I’m being told that won’t be honored. So basically the manage lied and manipulated me so I wouldn’t leave the hotel and check out that night. Not to mention the next day I was moved to ANOTHER ROOM WITHOUT AC. And THREE HOURS LATER I finally got into a room with AC, making me late to my evening plans. Literally this was the worst stay I’ve ever had in a hotel.

We paid for a delux suite and was informed at check in that due to maintenance we could only have a standard double. The alternative was to go to sister hotel 16 minutes taxi drive away. We needed the bigger bed for disability reasons. We had booked this hotel specifically for it being close to the theatre and in walking distance for my disabled wife. Air conditioning was an oscillating fan, not great for mid August. I wish I hadn’t prepaid through agent, as I would have refused and booked something else at the time. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. 100 yds from Trafalgar and Leicester Sq.

Overall a good stay and staff all friendly and helpful and any minor issues sorted very quickly A slight delay when waiting for room but check out flexible Add on costs at bar should not be put on for staying guests

Great location, very comfortable bed, room was on the smaller size but actually larger than expected when it comes to London. No frig but apparently that is standard for European hotels, not what this American is use to but I can’t ding them for that if it’s not typical.

Its the best location but zero services i hade to take by bags up to the 6th floor because they had no one to to take the bags up i think they forgot were in 2024 i mean idk and the cleaning people they left there cleaning towel in the bathroom i saw them throwing the towels on the floor and pushing them with there foot with there shoes ok disgusting i called the front desk asked them for more towels and after waited more then 45 minute i opened the door and i saw one of the cleaning person front of me and i asked her can i get more towels she asked me now I'm like no next year im like yes thats why i opened the door and asking for towels the only good thing about this place is location and when i asked for taxi to go to the airport they got it on time

Hotel is so well located to so much of London. Excellent breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable only issue was air conditioning did not seem to be working properly. Reported it but problem was not really resolved.

Our stay was great except for the air conditioning in our room was not working throughout our entire stay. It was extremely hot in our room. The hotel tried to accommodate us however they were fully booked. They did provide us with 4 fans, however it was still hot. They did comp us with a 50% discount for every night we stayed there. The staff were very friendly and excellent to deal with. This hotel is the perfect location for sightseeing and within walking distance of everything around the square. Theatres, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Chinatown, Pickadilly, and the list goes on.

Slow check in, reception person was clearly inexperienced & had to get a manager to help but only after leaving us standing there for far too long, she should have not been left alone until fully competent with the system. Great location and rooms are clean, but the hotel is hard to find as there is another Thistle hotel one block away. We were dropped at the wrong hotel with a large amount of luggage in the rain. There are stairs inside and out and on floors with rooms that make moving luggage difficult. There is no place to put luggage in the rooms, no racks provided (and very little space to put a rack even if you had one). There are no refrigerators in the rooms for medications or food. The list of amenities say there are laundry facilities, but in reality it is a laundry service. They say they would like you to reuse your towels, but provide no good place to hang it for drying.
