I never write reviews but I personally would not recommend this location. Motel 6 is way more solid. Couldn’t check-in 15 minutes early. WiFi was absolutely useless. Tv wasn’t even plugged in and couldn’t make it work. Some light fixtures didn’t work. But the pool looked clean…

Room quality seems to be a lottery
All of the staff that I spoke to were super friendly. Oscar served up eggs, potatoes and waffles for breakfast whilst his lovely assistant greeted guests who mostly ignored her. The waterfall feature and the swimming pool definitely added to the overall ambience. My room was clean and the bed could have comfortably slept 4 or 5 people. There was a working microwave and a bar fridge in the room. The place even smelt good, so I was kind of surprised at the hotel's reviews until I realised there was no hot water. The phone didn't work either but I didn't complain because I didn't want to end up in another room that might have had worse problems. The room was quiet and the location was safe (whether you feel safe or not is relative to your fears). I walked to and from the airport as well as to the beach and Inglewood. Cheapest actual hotel near LAX and it also comes with breakfast. I would definitely stay there again even though it has a few maintenance issues.

This hotel needs to be fully renovated due to safety and cleanliness concerns/issues. It’s too old and dirty. Not a place to feel safe and comfortable to stay. Definitely not recommended.

From my perspective, the hotel as a whole was in need of renovations. It's an older hotel, so the antiquated nature of some of the rooms is understandable. And for the reasonable price, one can't complain too much. There were a few rooms that were simply undesirable to stay in. So hopefully those might be the first to get renovated. Or they should simply not be available to paying customers.
