The hotel itself is like a remodeled motor inn, rooms and bathrooms clean and nice. Pool area is good with music soundtrack. The Staff were super helpful and Friendly. Once stepping outside parking lot, it is not safe, dodgy neighborhood, not walkable, no restaurants. It is off a bit of a busy street too-noisy. There is a nearby Starbucks- but not one you would want to walk to. Prepare to drive 2-3 miles for any safe, non-fast food restaurant. I would not stay here again, only because you can get better hotels closer to the waterfront for about the same price. I changed my reservation after a couple nights to a nicer area by the waterfront. The change for about $30 more per night was definitely worth it where I can walk to many options, it’s much more relaxing and feels like a vacation now versus a place to stop and sleep in between events away from the hotel.

The front desk people were nice upon check-in. My issue is with the property. My room was clean (minus a few very long women's hairs on the floor and bed) but it smelled pretty stale - a bit of a slap in the face when I walked in. It took a couple of hours with the A/C on to help alleviate the smell. Additionally, the lobby/bar area was unbearably warm and I had to keep swatting away gnats and flies from my food and drink. I would have stayed longer and spent more money at the bar, but it was just too uncomfortable. Lastly, the bartender was friendly but struggled to keep up with people's orders. I had to wait longer than I wanted for a very simple cocktail that was made incorrectly. Not worth paying $250 for the stay and the food (combined). Overall I give this hotel a 7/10 - Average
