Very disappointed in my stay. I booked a Malibu suite. The shades didn’t open all the way, very flimsy, didn’t allow check in until 4pm and I was celebrating my birthday with no DJ at penthouse restaurant like they said there would be. Awful awful experience and all they offered was refund of resort fees. Do better Huntley.

Great Santa Monica Hotel
Location was great, close to Third Street Promenade and the ocean. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. There is also nearby overnight public parking to save on the valet-only hotel parking...$25 vs $47, roughly.

This is such a beautiful boutique hotel! The overall experience was okay. The staff were friendly and accommodating. On arrival I was struck with the scent in the lobby. For those who enjoy potpourri, or feel nostalgic with the rose perfume of a grandma, this place is for you. Although I had mentioned that this was a special occasion, and I booked with VIP status, there was nothing done to acknowledge that. As for the room, it was spacious and modern, and the bed quite comfortable. Charging ports and the coffee machine weren’t working due to not being plugged in behind furniture. One of the refillables in the washroom was totally empty. The rooms aren’t what I would consider soundproof as I could hear the early departure of those on the floor above, and the conversation of those in room ajoint to ours. Those small things were less than ideal. Overall, the stay was fine and the location quite lovely!

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday and baby moon. We had such a great stay from the beautiful room to the amazing service. Even being 30 weeks pregnant at the time, everything was still walking distance and not too straining. We even visited the Penthouse at the hotel's rooftop and had nothing but exceptional service there as well and yummy mocktails and appetizers. The biggest highlight was the front desk host, Daniel, upgrading us to a beautiful suite upon arrival to ensure we celebrated properly. My only complaint was the shower head was scarily strong and there were no other settings to it. I avoided facing it directly because I was scared of hurting myself and my baby in my belly. For a beautiful suite, I think the shower needed an update.

We stayed for a weekend getaway at Huntley Hotel and had an amazing time. The hotel is located very close to the beach and many restaurants, but we mostly loved the rooftop restaurant at the hotel. The food was great and staff were always there to help us with everything we needed. I highly recommend this property
