We booked a non smoking room but it smelt so badly of cigarette smoke we ended up leaving early. We were also overcharged for our room as their wadntba record of our deposit on checkin. After lots of messaging and then contacting expdedia that was sorted. We also received a small amount of money for the cigarette smell. The rooms views were amazing it’s just a shame that it smelt so bad. Also they only give out one room key and you need it to get into and out of the building. No key chain on the door which seems dangerous as someone could cut a key and break into your room. The pool was great 👍

I was disappointed to learn on arrival that we have to pay an extra $100 bond after the information and price i paid on Expedia stated was including all fees and taxes, however wasnt the case and unaware of the extra $100 at checkin and still waiting to see if we get it returned to our account as i have had no correspondance after sending a message to manager to see if and when we will receive the reimbursment. The room had 2 bathrooms 1 with an uncleaned toilet and both had virtually no toilet paper in them with no more in room had to be delivered lunch time next day. also had a coffee machine however no pods were available until the next day delivery with toilet paper.

The view in this property was very nice, not oceanview but nice ro see the city at night if you're a tourist. The apartment wasn't presented well for the price per night. I'd have expected it to be cleaner and just a bit more than sofisticated from bedding, linen and furniture in general all were not high end quality or condition and walls and doors fairly dirty also. It was a bed to sleep in for all visitors and that's good but was expensive for that. Wasn't extra towels for swimming or anything also would have been good to know that before travel. The days before we received sms from the landlord and sounded great. When we got there told them over an hr before arrival, our arrival was a surprise and room wasn't ready even at check in time. We then had the key holder follow us to park and then wanted credit card details on the spot without portable card reader for bond they didn't take prior even though rm was prepaid by same card. We didn't provide cc details and said we would get cash and return, the key holder was going to follow us to atm for this!!! We told them to keep key until we returned with money, felt very insecure and ineasy with communication and the stay from then on. Owner needs a card reader to take bonds and show secure transactions. I wouldn't try a booking like this again it was very tedious and disappointing.

Apartment very small. The person who met us was obviously in a hurry and not very friendly. Nowhere to store luggage after we’d checked out. Pool out of order for the duration of our stay when we’d booked specifically for the pool. One big plus - we were right outside the Collins St tram line stop which was very convenient. Nothing I’m apartment like Melb magazines, events, close by eateries etc

This is an AIR BNB place. CRAP!
The second we pull up to this place we knew it was an AIR BNB. It was a residential building. We were greeted with a guy who barely spoke English and running us through what was to happen. Contacted the "manager" who explained that this was the way it was. After asking for our money back, he refused. We continued on and finally got the keys. There are so many little flaws that a normal Hotel wouldn't have. No top sheets on the beds, no curtains in the main living area, dishwasher faulty and constantly beeping, shower leeks all over the floor and no shelve in bathroom for personal gear. Location was the true positive. We left for the evening and both my husband and I were concerned that our room was raided or car missing. We were only given 1 key and card. Where was the second? Would NEVER have booked it if we have known it was a private residence. Kelly

The room shown is not the one you get. Totally different building. Not very clean, not vacuumed or mopped. Dishes still in dishwasher. No dish cloth or tea towel to try and clean up. Had to wait 20minutes out the front to be let in and shown to our room. No cable tv like advertised. Do not trust this company they obviously own a few rooms in area. Show the best one in the ad then dump you wherever they want.

Spacious apartment near city ...
Quite spacious living / dining / kitchen although kitchen could have been designed better with more bench space or island plus half size dishwasher is probably undersized. Particularly for longer stays or larger families. Lots of storage but probably more than necessary for a holiday rental. And 2 full bathrooms is probably not entirely necessary either. Given living room size, another couch or a couple of comfortable chairs would make it more comfortable for larger families. Looked like we were first people to rent apartment and prep must have been rushed as appliances still had the moving tape attached. Beds did not have a top sheet and only a heavy doona. Which was not suitable given the warmer weather - should be more options. And found a top sheet scrunched up in one of the wardrobes! Which we did not use as not confident that it was clean. Would have preferred that couch in living area was not made into a bed. This should be done on request or guest allowed to do it themselves. Complimentary tea/coffee/small milk in fridge etc. would be a nice touch. As would some decoration around the walls. And some more cleaning products such as dish washing liquid, dishwasher powder, cloths for wiping benches, tea towels etc. Having said all of that, we rented at the last minute for 1 night and I think we got a reasonable price. And kids enjoyed the pool. We would rent again despite the apartment construction in the immediate area.

Not what we booked.
Communication with property very poor. 1 day prior to arrival we received our instructions via message with the address of another property. Pear River Road. ??Wt... when I replied via message that this was not where we booked we were told that due to “security maintenance” we were shifted to another property. This was further away. We also required 1 room with king bed and one room with 2 singles which was the bedding at Oceanview. But not available at this new property. Person replied that there were 2 king beds plus a sofa bed in the lounge. I said that this was not ideal as now someone was going to have to sleep in the lounge room. To which the reply was “Point noted”. Please enjoy your stay. Then the next instruction was to call this number on arrival and someone would arrange pickup of the key. I rang and no answer. Ring again and get text message back. Finally a man arrives and takes us into the building. Would I give these people my money again. No I would not.

Nice view - disappointing overall experience!
Positive: Great view, location. (PLEASE NOTE: I do not normally complain but this needs to be said!) Negative: Poor management, managed by Asian students who are not really that customer focused and who do not speak English that well. Apartment was tiny (even thought they told us they had upgraded us to a more spacious apartment). It was advertised as catering for 6 people, I would recommend no more than 4. One small dining table with 4 chairs, one couch in the living room, tiny master bedroom, cutlery was dirty, bed linen had rip in it, insufficient cups etc. for amount of people in the apartment, cups still had coffee stains, floor of balcony was dirty, no chairs on balcony, windows had not been cleaned, no detergent for dishwasher, food left in cupboard by previous guests. Overall, I think the whole management, cleaning of the unit, customer focus etc. needs a major overhaul!! We did complain to management, and all they did was came with 3 new clean cups, and a bottle of sparkling. Sorry, but that did not cut it for us. It was my 50th birthday celebration with my family, and this did put a dampener on things. We had been promised an earlier check in, that did not happen. They were unable to cater for storage of our luggage when we arrived in Melbourne, we had to hire lockers at the train station. Our family has travelled extensively internationally, and this was truly a disappointing, unprofessional experience for us. Rant over. (Apartment 2408)

Great location with free tram outside.
Room was good,clean and higher level away from street level. Building had good security and undercover parking. Only bad point was the apartment photos were different to the actual apartment we got.

The apartment itself is clean, in a great location, the communication with he staff was horrible, from start to finish. Confusing trying to organise check in, didn’t return emails or phone calls. It pretty much ruined what is a great place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were tidy, appliances in good functioning condition, great communication from staff, an amazing location with a beautiful view. Highly recommend.
