This property that we stayed in was a hidden gem and we would consider staying at this location again. The staff was friendly. The location was at a close proximity to various businesses. The only issue was AC in our room with a tad bit loud, but other than that, we would recommend any of our friends and family to stay here.

We stayed just 1 night in a corner room on the ground level. I was a little uneasy at first about how accessible it was to the outside, but it turned out to be fine. The inn is located in somewhat of a residential area, just a couple minutes and blocks from downtown. It was a very nice room and the fireplace was an extra perk that made it cozy on a chilly Monterey night.

Our room was ready early and we were able to get settled. We had rented an additional room for our daughter and her friend which was upgraded without asking so that our rooms could be close. The reception staff were friendly at check in. The rooms themselves are a little tired. The mattresses should be replaced as well as the sheets and pillows.

A lovely stay. Bed was comfortable, WiFi solid if not speedy, fireplace was great. Everything was clean as could be. My room was right across from the public outdoor gathering area, so there was a little noise, but everything quieted down nicely after 10 and I got an excellent nights sleep. Very close to Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s and convenient to the municipal beach and Old Monterey. Would definitely stay again.
