The property itself was exceptionally beautiful but the staff and the snooty golfers put a huge damper on our stay. The staff acted as if they were bothered by us asking questions. They provided wrong information on where we could walk near the golf course, which resulted in my husband and I getting yelled at by a small group of male golfers. On multiple encounters we were spoken to as if we were beneath them. The overall stay was ruined because of attitude and lack of information. Won't be staying here again and I have already steered two other couples away from staying here. It's a shame because the property is lovely and tranquil, just not welcoming!

Nice hotel
One of the nicer hotels in the Carmel area that have AC. Beds were comfortable but pillows were not. We liked the bathroom shower but it’s definitely looking a bit dated w cord telephone next to toilet. Property and grounds are kept beautifully with golf course and gorgeous rose bushes and nice flowers. Not walkable but about 10/15 mins from awesome restaurants in Carmel. Felt safe at property. Complimentary smores for kids every night!

We had a quick getaway with our two kids. The Quail did not disappoint. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is entertainment for the kids with mini golf, s’mores at night and fire pits all over the resort. The grounds are amazing. It was a feast for the eyes. My boys were not bored. The complementary driving range hours were the cherry on top. Lots to do or not just relax it’s up to you!

Great resort with amenities for the whole family (also pet friendly) or a weekend getaway for couples. We enjoyed golfing and being able to walk to onsite restaurants. We were also happy to have been upgraded to a lake view room with our Expedia vip perks and additional compensation for room service etc. overall great experience, thank you quail lodge and resort and Expedia vip!!

In more than 30 years of visiting the Monterey area this is the first time that I've had the pleasure of staying in the Carmel Valley. Upon arriving at the lodge we received a warm welcome by the front desk representative who showed us a couple different room options available before we chose the one that best suited our needs. The property is so beautiful, extremely clean and encompassed in nature. We enjoyed close proximity to hiking trails, Carmel- by -the - sea for a number of dining options, playing mini golf on the property and great weather. We shared with the front desk staff we were celebrating a 28 year anniversary and returned to our room to find a chilled bottle of chardonnay- a lovely touch to what was a wonderful 3 day getaway. I'm already planning another reservation for our next trip and we've only been home for less than two days. I have no recommendations as the entire experience was more than I could've expected.

We loved the small little golf course to practice on. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary. There was as a very nice bottle of Pinot Noir and some chocolates with a sweet card on the table. Dinner was delicious! What more could we ask for? The stay was perfect, thank you! 🙏 🎉
