We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The suite was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed coffee in the room and the complimentary reusable insulated water bottles and daily cookies and fresh fruit. The location was perfect for walking through Carmel and easy to walk to the beach.

Great location and wonderful rooms, but parking is limited. Comfortable beds, nice balcony, spacious room, close to shopping and dining. It was a decent walk to beach, but do-able - (hills) may be a challenge for someone with limitations. Once we parked on site, we were able to walk everywhere for our stay which was very nice.

Parking issues
We didn't find information in advance while booking that parking on site is like a lottery - despite it's free for the guests, be prepared to be surprised when you leave your spot to find it already taken. This was not mentioned by the administration when we checked in upon arrival as well. It seems that there is not enough parking space for all the guests. Good to know that public parking was free 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. However, Carmel itself left great impression with it's restaurants and surroundings.

Perfect for our Staycation
The Wayside Inn is a perfect spot for a quick visit to lovely Carmel by the Sea. Great location, near Ocean Avenue. We scored a parking spot in the property!! Very nice staff, we look forward to coming back soon.

A wonderful place to enjoy your stay in Carmel
We love the Wayside Inn! The rooms are charming, while never looking worn or dated. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a cute balcony where we could enjoy our morning coffee. The bed was luxurious, and the amenities greatly appreciated. The staff greeted us with courtesy and helpfulness — everyone was eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Their eco-friendliness extends to complimentary reusable water bottles that cut down on the use of plastics and were also a nice memento of our stay. The Inn is convenient to terrific restaurants and shopping. A wonderful place to enjoy your vacation in Carmel-by-the-Sea!

The furniture was a lot more outdated than compared to the photos. Better comfortable bathrooms a little small location is great so we would stay here again for the price and location
