Locations downtown has its good and bad. It's noisy and my window looked into a creepy little alley. The plus being there were tons of shopping and food right outside the door.

Quiet area of the city. It appeared to be safe. Parking our vehicle was a little confusing at first. The room was neat and clean. The problem was that one of the windows was open and the air conditioning in the room did not work well.

For the price is a really good hotel, free secure parking in that area of San Fracisco is a pluss, I have some minor issues (air coditioner didn't work) and need update, but in general I feel good there and I would book again if I will back to San Francisco.

We chose this property because of past experience, the cost was better than many per night based on the middle of the week and parking was included, a rare find in the city. We arrived after 7pm so having to make a left turn off of a busy Lombard was allowed otherwise no left turns allowed during the day. Use GPS for assistance. Check in was easy and there was plenty of parking for your car. Our room was facing Lombard which can be noisy but if you run the fan like we do, the noise is drowned out. Beautiful view of the city. The room was spacious, plenty of outlets, coffee maker and other amenities. Comfortable bed and pillows and very clean overall. We had a regular room but suites and apartments are available here. Mel's Diner is just across the street for a nice breakfast. Close proximity to many attractions. I would definitely stay here again.
