Four out of five elevators not functioning in the main tower during our stay = long waits. Expedia should have let us know that the hotel staff were on strike. I am not complaining about the strike or the picket line - I respect the workers rights. I would have stayed elsewhere rather than cross a picket line.

Hotel workers on strike during our stay and started their drums and banging at 7am. San Fran surrounding area is fairly unsafe, we had to park our rental underground as advised by rental. Valet service quite expensive 80 usd per night.

On site restaurant was closed without mention. The hotel was were in the middle of a strike. There was only one entrance open and that’s where they were with drums and megaphones.

The 30$ a day fee, that they give you in credit is a joke. The prices in the cafe are ultra inflated because of this credit. The striking workers outside were quite a nuisance. I won't stay at another Westin or Marriot property. It felt like a big bait and switch.

Amazing hotel, frustrating circumstances
The hotel and the hotel room were amazing. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Bed and room were also very comfortable with a great view! The main issue, and it was rather large, was the active strike that was occurring. The participants of the strike would wake the entire hotel up promptly at 7am everyday banging on trash cans and anything that made noise. This would go until 10pm everyday. When entering the hotel lobby, they would bang trash cans pointed into the entryway which were literally deafening. If you plan on sleeping in, or entering the lobby without a headache, wait until the strike is over. Other than that though, amazing experience at the hotel.

Worst experience I’ve had at Westin so far. The noise from the striking staff was loud and annoying. We could hear it from the 24th floor. Westin should have notified us prior to our arrival - we would have picked a different hotel. So disappointed.
