Marina Motel was awesome for us! Staff was friendly and allowed us to keep our bags in a garage until we got back from the Hot Chocolate Run. I would definitely stay again if I'm in the area! Highly recommend :D!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is fun and quirky with a lovely courtyard full of plants and flowers and staircases up to all the rooms. There are garages for parking, but we drive a full size 3/4 ton pickup so we did not fit. The gentleman that checked us in guided us in to park within the courtyard so that our truck was secure. The rooms are old San Francisco and ours was spacious. It faced into the courtyard and we were not bothered by noise at all. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom is great. It even had two sinks and well-lit mirrors! Check in was fun and he suggested we walk down to Chestnut Street one block below where there were lots of restaurants. We enjoyed our dinner down there at Original Little Joe's and then walked back down the next morning for coffee before we left. It was sort of like we belonged in the neighborhood and we really enjoyed it. When we come back to San Francisco we will definitely stay here again.

Secret in San Francisco

I can't believe this lovely motel exists in San Francisco. Our room was at the back and one of the quietest places we have ever stayed. All the plants and paintings around a courtyard reminded me of Santa Fe. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There are lots of coffee shops, wine bars, and restaurants with only a short walk. You don't need a car and have free parking anyway.

Was a very gorgeous old school stay but the exterior units are super loud which caused very poor sleeping conditions and at the end of the day that’s kind of what you book for is a good nights sleep :/ I’d recommend asking for a unit inside the premises not on the exterior

Resident across from our room, obnoxious and vulgar at 3 am and should not be allowed staying there (rm 46). Staff helpful and friendly, but needs to be more selective as to is allowed to stay there.
