1. The hotel should have a listing of TV stations in every room. 2. The room was just the right size for me. Very well laid out, too. 3. There are no safety bars in the shower. The shower points straight down; a slight angle would help.

This property looked adorable on Expedia but fell short. We checked in around midnight due to a late flight and checked in to find the heat pump not working. The front desk staff gave us fans, but there were no outlets to plug them in. We opened the window, but there were no screens. The next day they moved us to a new room. Maid service didn’t clean the room on our third day, which we didn’t expect. Decor was pretty good, but the room was incredibly small. Probably would not stay there again.

Perfect stay

This is a very cute hotel located in a great area. It was walking distance to Chinatown, Union Square and the Masonic. We had a great stay and the staff were very friendly.

I liked the price, and the location is good. The room lacked adequate lighting above the sink, an outlet by the sink that looked like it was coming out of the wall, no working TV, and no coffee...these aren't real life problems...but it's why they are getting a 3. The staff was nice and helpful (although no one was at the front desk for check in for about 20 minutes). This is my second time in three years staying there and I am on the fence I would stay there again. Maybe. Try for the price and see. It's a cute place.

I would recommend for the price your charging to maybe deep clean your shower tiles there’s mold or some kind of growth under caulking I’m a contractor in LA and I would recommend you check that.

I’m familiar with San Francisco and stopped at Palihotel after a retreat before flying home. Some reviews of SF complain about noise or seeing people sitting on the sidewalks… babe, that’s the city. That said, I wasn’t approached by anyone on the sidewalks in the area around the hotel, and I didn’t find it noisy (although you’re going to hear traffic sounds anywhere in the city). The place was super clean, the staff was helpful, I felt safe the whole time. The room was small, but I knew that going in, and the decor, linens and updated bathroom made up for the size. I could have used a luggage rack, but I’m not sure where they would store that so I understand why there wasn’t one. I liked the text communication from the front desk. The location was slightly inconvenient for my ride to the airport to pick me up— I walked around the corner with my suitcase and waited in front of a busy fast food/retail area, but again— it’s a big city and I get it. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a solo traveler or couple wanting to see the city. It’s super close to Chinatown and Union Square.
