The pictures you see for the hotel of course look way better than the over all appearance of the hotel. The rooms are very small with shower curtain bath tub for shower. I know it’s not the hotels fault but several protests in the area caused for noisy mornings and nights to not get much rest. The staff was very nice and the hotel gives an older feel but if you are looking for modern, this is not the place.

Downtown central location & lovely rooms
Loved the room, which wasn’t as spacious as it looked/described on their website. Water pressure was slow. Staff/service was great.

This is a very nice hotel that is an updated take on a historical building. All staff are friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and room was just the right size for two people. While the bathroom does not have a proper counter, it has everything you need. If you need more space, this might not be the right call. We also like the lounge upstairs open Thursday- Sunday. Beautiful views of the city and very lively. Starbucks is almost adjacent to the hotel for easy grab and go.

Visited San Francisco mid November 2024 and stayed at the Beacon Grand. Hotel has great atmosphere and character. Staff was so kind and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. For my trip the location was important and this hotel is conveniently located downtown close to conference centre, Union Square/shopping and on famous Powell & Hyde cable car line. Enjoyed my stay.

Love the convenience of the hotel and it’s classic look specially having a Starbucks next-door the restaurant was good too. The piano entertainment was great. The bartender was great the only thing I like about this hotel was the very small room for the toilet. I’m a medium size man and it was difficult for me. I can imagine someone bigger understandable that there’s not much space and it’s the older building may be worth check it out, not sure if all the rooms are the same

The staff, amazing sense of ownership with the experience from the moment you drive up to the property. Loved the Starlight on the 21st floor. The room was nice, bed was comfortable. Will stay again in the future.
