REMODELING The place looked closed when we drove up! The area was marked with 8 1/2 x 11 pieces of paper with arrows to follow to the registration desk!? The office was in a converted motel room and makeshift would be an exaggeration. The room was way overpriced for the conditions!

Nice Stay
While the Comfort in is going thru renovations. The rooms are clean and we were not at all affected by the construction. Yes the staff are located in a hotel rooom but they were very friendly and helpful. It is a 4 minute drive to the pier and easy to get in and out of. Would stay there again.

Recommending the Marriott across the street!
The hotel was under construction, the hallways were extremely hot and humid. We had to walk through the building to find a small room where the registration desk was. We were offered a sack breakfast or Wienerschnitzel coupons for breakfast. The first day we got the sack breakfast, the breakfast sandwiches were nasty. The second day, we just asked for an apple granola bar and apple juice. When we were leaving, we packed all of our stuff up on a cart and the elevators wouldn’t work. We had to make several trips which were hard on my husband because he is Handicapped. I recommended this hotel to my daughter and to my friends who were coming for my daughters wedding. All of us were disappointed, and frankly, I was embarrassed for recommending it.

Arrived in this property and the lobby door was closed and dark as if the hotel is permanently closed. There were small signs for “entrance” which lead to the back entrance of the rooms. Yes, they were undergoing renovations, but on the courtesy call the day before asking if we were arriving, they did not say they were renovating. So let’s get past the registration (which happened in a make shift office in one of the hotel rooms). When we got to our room, our sink was clogged and there are no countertop space in the bathroom. They told us that the plumber cannot come at that time (7pm) and will arrive tomorrow. We have a wedding rehearsal that night and a wedding to go to the following day, and there’s no way we were going to share a bathroom between the 3 of us with a clogged sink. I feel bad for the workers that night as they were trying so hard to answer questions from all of the disappointed customers coming in. Glad we were able to book another hotel and Expedia customer service help the following day, assisted me to get my money back! If it weren’t for that- this wedding weekend would have been tagged as a nightmare. Saying no to Uncomfort Inn Suites next time.

The receptionist was great. Unfortunately our TV did not work and we were told “they are working on it”for two days. The construction was annoying as we were awaken shortly after 8. It seems the drilling and pounding should wait to check out time. We were very disappointed in the hotel and would not recommend this hotel. The breakfast was bad for anyone with dietary issues.

I’ll come back. Suits my needs for a work trip
The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is on a busy intersection and right next to the 101 freeway and there is a car wash across the street which is pretty noisy during operating hours the noise dies down after 10 o’clock their lobby is undergoing renovation and my room was directly above the lobby so at 8 o’clock in the morning it got a little noisy, but I had to go to work anyway so no big deal.

Nice Hotel Stay Within Walk Distance of Beach
Staff at check in was awesome. They are undergoing renovations to the entire hotel. Our room newly renovated and nice. Renovation work starts at 8 am so you might hear some noise. Didn’t bother us. Breakfast options due to renovation aren’t that good. Grab and go bag or Wienerschnitzels. We enjoyed Black Bear down the way and HIGHLY recommend Arts restaurant for breakfast. Pancakes were amazing. Good to see hotel was making updates to rooms. Great stay overall

The manager was horrible and screamed at me upon check in because I requested to see the room. She was horrible, she accused me of aggressively approaching her, however she provoked me to raise my voice to her level. She told me I could get the hell out if I was happy and she would refuse to refund my $435 for 2 nights. Ripped off by the most inhospitable person I’ve ever met. Book here at your own risk. You will regret it.
