We chose this hotel as it's close to Disney, and it had breakfast. We've stayed at other hotels in the area, and this one ended up feeling closer, just because you didn't have to cross any main intersections to get to Disney at the light at Katella. The 7-11 is always kinda sketchy, but we never felt unsafe. We enjoy shopping at the A-Mart and supporting the family that owns that place.
The breakfast was typical, but decent. Simple and quick before walking over to Disney.
The kids loved the pool the night before going to Disney for a few days.
There are PLENTY of dining options within walking distance if you aren't staying in the park to eat.
Parking fees are a bit steep, other hotels in the area are either FREE or cheaper, so that was a bit disappointing.
I liked the phone chargers you can rent from the little market in the lobby, those were extremely convenient to check out and take to the park, incredibly lightweight and only $5.
The staff were very friendly. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, the water pressure in the shower was SO NICE. It was quiet, we didn't hear anyone in the hall or in the rooms next to us.
The only complaint is that we couldn't open our blinds at all for natural light since we were on the first floor and our room opened up to the parking lot, so people were walking next to our room constantly... so the blinds were closed 24/7.
