I recently stayed at the Westin Anaheim and had mixed feelings about the experience.
What We Liked:
First and foremost, the beds were incredibly comfortable—a true highlight of our stay. After long days at the parks, sinking into those plush mattresses was a welcome relief. Moreover, the hotel offered a fantastic view of Disneyland Park, which waswe did pay for. Watching the fireworks from our room added a touch of magic to our evenings. The valet and bell service were also commendable; they were prompt and courteous, making our arrival and departure smooth and hassle-free.
What We Disliked:
However, the rest of the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. The front desk staff initially placed us in the wrong type of room, which was disappointing. When we arrived for check-in, there was no room ready for us, and we were left waiting with our luggage and put temporarily in another room. To make matters worse, we were misinformed about moving to the original room we had booked. This miscommunication caused us additional stress, especially since we had plans to head out to Newport shortly after check-in.
Overall, while the Westin Anaheim has its strengths—chiefly its comfortable accommodations—the issues we encountered at the front desk overshadowed the positives. Unfortunately, the hotel didn’t quite live up to the hype, making it hard to recommend without reservations. If you're looking for a seamless experience, look elsewhere.
