The location was okay, the receptionist Nadine and the light lady were so nice while the black lady was so nasty. No heating system, I stayed for 4 days I couldn’t bath because no hot water, too cold. I was freezing. Leaving there is like a mad man leaving in the street

Fantastic location for central Birmingham! We had a private room which was very spacious and clean. And the price was around half of staying in a local hotel. Staff were great, easy free parking right outside after 6pm on a Saturday which was ideal and visible CCTV outside which was reassuring. Really impressed with this place, would definitely return next time we’re in Birmingham!

We booked a loft room. It looks beautiful on first impressions, good sized bed and nice furniture. However, the room is right next to a railway line which starts early in the morning, cleanliness wasn’t the best (bathroom floor not brushed/hoovered and crumbs all over the furniture), no toaster, paint all flaking away, holes in walls that need attention, only one lumpy pillow each, portable heaters as no radiators, no tv for a private room, attention to detail needed especially for the price point for a private room.

I stayed in the all female 6 bedroom dorm, with ensuite bathroom (shower and toilet) for the 6 of us to share. It was reasonably clean and quiet, with the bed both and curtain providing nice privacy. However, the wifi did not extend to the room (had to go to common area for internet) and the mattress was extremely springy (could feel every single spring bore into my back all night).

The room is just as stated when ordering. The beds are comfy and while my stay was for a night and booked because the price was affordable i enjoyed the atmosphere and friendliness of staff. I would book again .

Absolutely loved it. The loft room was amazing. Everything you need, lovely decor, friendly staff. We liked it so much we booked the PH Manchester for the following night!

It was nice being upgraded on the to a better room. The receptionist was really nice and even played the piano for us. The rooms are large but the rooms facing the rail tracks don't have windows that open. Overall it's a great hostel and has a good modern look
