Right above A6 exit of Toei Gotanda Sta.
Location-wise is 100/100, Toei Metro at their door step and the famous JR Yamanote loop line is just of 3-5 minute walking distance. For a residential room, there was a small fridge and an IH stovetop, they only provided 2 plates and no other crockery. Utensil-wise only 2 forks and teaspoons. Clearly, that indicates they don’t want you to eat soupy stuff inside the room. Housekeeping was unsatisfactory, there were urine stains from previous guests around the toilet bowl. Toilet floors were so dirty that an accidentally dropped towel ended up coated in dust. I spent a good amount of time to clean the toilet and kitchenette on my first night since I was to stay for 15 nights. Overall I’m happy with what I paid for, at least there were just enough of room for me to unpacked my luggage. Shout out to Ms. Shimizu for your wonderful customer service. It will be great if other front desk personnel were as kind, polite and professional as you.

A very unique experience unlike other hotels. The hotel may not be suitable for tall people. Highly recommend to stay in this cozy hotel and neighbourhood.

Dale Bramlet (USA) Had a great extended stay (18 nights). The hotel is located in a great spot nearby to a multitude of restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, and a main train station transportation hub. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, and offers a wide range of amenities not always found at typical budget-friendly hotels. Also, the entire staff is extremely helpful, competent, personable and friendly. I enjoyed chatting with and getting to know some of the staff during my stay.

Property was easily accessible to the Yamanote and Asakusa lines. There was also a 5 floor Don Quijote right behind the property and a 7-11 downstairs. Comforter and pillows were terrible and uncomfortable. Staff was not the friendliest nor welcoming.

The hotel is very close to train station. Good location to Shinjuku. The room is too small to put my 2 luggages. For single traveller, it is good for small luggage. The bathroom is good size.

The hotel is located very near jr line. Less than 10mins walk. There is a 7-11 beside it. And many food options near the hotel. The area is not crowded too.

Tiny rooms in a bustling shopping district.
Set in a ideal location with shops, restaurants and shopping centres within a very short walk. There is a laidback family style restaurant accessible via the hotel lift and Gotanda train station can be accessed right outside the front door via a set of subway stairs. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and check-in was easy. Free and reliable wifi is also available. Our room was very small (the entire building is) but otherwise it was clean and comfortable. Traffic noise kept us awake at night so we had to keep the window shut and the A/C on overnight. What this place lacks in size and space however it makes up for in location.

We enjoyed our stay, it’a a basic hotel so don’t expect anything too fancy; but the room was big for Japan standards, came with a washer/dryer, microwave, the amenities are of good quality, the staff was great and attentive, they speak English so our interactions went well. We paid a bit extra to have breakfast included, that you can have on the second floor at Jonathan’s which is a restaurant connected to the hotel and not managed by them. The breakfast for ok, enough to fill you and if not, you can pay extra for the other alternatives that are not included in the breakfast package from the hotel, the best part is that is served by a cute robot :) There’s a metro entrance just in front of the hotel and the train station about 10 minute walk. There’s a 7 Eleven next to the hotel and a Family Mart across the street. There’s a Don Quijote close by as well. And there’s also a supermarket and mall next to the train station so you’ll have some options like a dollar store, Uniqlo and Muji close by. So all in all, I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a fairly priced, clean, safe, convenient, no frills, good service place to stay in Tokyo.
