Good budget hotel for the night. The room was small but not terribly for one person. I had a small suitcase and two bags and there was room. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby smelt a bit like smoke as there’s a smoking area in the lobby but other than that I was happy. I felt safe and it’s a great location to Uneo station and the markets. Lots of luggage being stored in the lobby too which is convenient but a makes the place feel a bit messy. The bed was comfy and I would choose this place again as a standard budget option.

The location is very convenient which 3 mins walk distance to subway, and there are so many restaurants nearby! But the room space is tooooooo small!

The room was quite small even for Tokyo standards. The lobby is very cramped and the hallways were crowded with carts and boxes. We only stayed one night so it wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t want to stay for a longer period of time. The lady that checked us in almost didn’t let us because our middle names were on our passports but not the reservation. I couldn’t remember if Expedia even has a middle name option when booking and we didn’t have any problems with the other two hotels we stayed at in Japan.

The inexperienced reception provided the wrong information about the shipping service which resulted a lot of time wasted for me to find an alternative. Eventually it was resolved by an experienced receptionist. The room is so tiny. But the location is good.

For the price it’s ok. I stayed at much cheaper places that were just as nice in the area. The room was very hot and there is no way to crack a window or turn on the AC. I booked this for the high ratings but was a little disappointed. Also the front staff was very stressed and a little rude checking in. The other people were nice later though.

Walkable distance to Ueno park and shopping district. Helpful staffs with a clean room. Very convenient location to head to Narita airport. Keisei Ueno station offers express trains that go directly to the airport. I would stay there again.

First time to Japan and I'm glad we stayed here. Great neighborhood close to markets, bustling Akihabara, and pleasant Ueno Park for nature and nearby museums. Staff were very friendly and were able to communicate in English and provide resources in English. We had our luggage shipped there via Yamato Transport and they handled receiving it. Comfortable rooms and amenities, and overall pleasant atmosphere. I would stay here again and I already want to book this hotel again for a second stay.
