We stayed here a night in December 2024, so we could stay at Ueno for a change. The area has lots to do in terms of shopping and restaurants. However, our triple room was just tiny. The bathroom felt like an airplane bathroom too. Nothing wrong with the hotel premises and cleanliness, service was fine and there was a nice restaurant downstairs. Just that the tiny room made us uncomfortable.

If you stay here you’re paying for the location; the service was not up to par with other hotels we stayed at in Tokyo and Japan. The front desk staff were not very helpful and some did not speak any English which is surprising for the location/clientele. The worst was that you could not open the windows and the central air was switched to heating mode, so the room got quite stuffy. There are definitely better options in the area.

Travelers beware! I’ve stayed here many times during the last couple of years and have never been questioned about my name at check in. Expedia only allowed me to register my first and last name, but the receptionist said my name doesn’t match with my full name showing on my passport. After I protested and showed her how I made my booking, I was “reminded” that the name must be exactly the same, or else I wouldn’t be able to check in at all. Seriously?

Great Hotel with amazing location for trains and c
The hotel room were super clean, the hotel is very nice and there's 2 washing machine available directly in the hotel. The location is also very nice, there's a wonderful café at the 1st floor of the hotel and the train station is super close as well. The only negative point is about the size of the room (there's only one way to get out of the bed so if you're a couple one of you will be stuck) but it's pretty normal in Japan and even more in Tokyo.

The location is excellence and the hotel room is clean. However, I would say the hotel itself is small, and they only have 2 lifts which means the waiting time is very long in peak hour.

Love this hotel! The position is great, easy to access the subway and JR line and go to everywhere in Tokyo. And a lot of restaurants and shopping places in walking distances. The hotel room is well facilitated and pretty clean and neat, although it’s small. The staffs are nice and helpful. Will choose this hotel once we go to Tokyo again.
