At the start of my stay I arrived at the hotel. I booked this sort out because they had parking. There was no parking carpark was full to find a parking space in a nearby carpark to the hotel went out for a walk round York Christmas markets. Come back for some food food with very average, next morning managed to get parking at the hotel cost me £30 had a good day out around York Got up next morning for breakfast There was no tables available. We ended up eating on a small round table in the bar area. Couldn’t put anything on the table. It was that small completely or not at this hotel again it is not value for money.

Great location right in front of York tower and a great deal with Hotel.com but remember to add car park price Nov24 £30 until 12.00 next day however the price is about the same everywhere Friendly attentive staff, lady on reception was excellent as was the breakfast manager regarding gluten free meals We will definitely be back

Lovely suite but a little cold.
We had a suite which was lovely. The only downside is that it was cold. The heating was barely adequate even on full power and the Quilts were very thin. It seemed to be that the whole wing of the hotel with the suite in was cold. Also it was a Saturday night and very noisy outside.

The room was dirty and very old fashioned. We found several long black hairs on the carpet in our room that got tangled in our toes and long black hairs on the floor in the bathroom - disgusting! There were lots of cobwebs hanging down in the corner of the ceilings around the window and lamp and dust all over the upright lamp. The room was dirty and old fashioned - it needs a serious upgrade. The area around our room was noisy and the room was stuffy so we couldn’t keep the window open.

Noisy reception
Comfortable supportive mattress, but not enough room around bottom of bed. I caught my feet in the bedding and fell over hurting my knee and hip. Horrible whining noise in room all night. Good breakfast, cosy restaurant. Music in reception made it difficult to hear and communicate with staff, especially for anyone with a hearing impairment.

Bed was like a brick and gave me and my finace back ache causing us to leave after just 1 night. Reception told us all beds are the same and theres nothing they could do couldemt even give us money back! So if tou want a good nights sleep dont bother. Also 2 cans of water and a small bottle of coke £10.50 daylight robbery

I can’t fault the hotel. It was really clean and comfortable with a lovely bar and restaurant area. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had - so much choice. Would stay again.

Beautiful hotel. Front of service / desk a little slow, but was busy, need more staff. £30 excessive to park a car & further £3/hr if later than 12pm. Missed breakfast sadly
