This hotel very shabby and cold! Gym equipment out of order, jacuzzi out of order, no door on sauna and sauna and steam room not working! Tiles falling off the walls in showers and radiators rusty! Broken windows so glass on the roof of the conservatory in breakfast room.
The room was cold on arrival! No bed side lights, big hole in bath so i put a plastic cup in it in case anything crawled out!
Location doesnt make you feel safe lot of police cars and homeless asking for money!

Reception staff very helpful not only with check in but with advice for local travel.
Room was a bit shabby, shower needed an upgrade, air con didn't work.
Hotel needs a complete refurb. All pictures on website are outdated so it's complete false advertising and you wait ages for bar staff to get you a drink. My advise is to stay clear of this hotel and pay more for a bit more of a guarantee you don't get this horrific mistake we made.
There is nothing to like about this property. The room is NOTHING like the pictures!
it was in an absolutely disgusting state. The rooms were filthy, there was blood all over the floor, the toilet hadn't been flushed. The bedding was filthy. The smell of weed was overwhelming. I did not stay here, I walked in and walked straight back out again, I had booked 2 rooms and neither room was used.
Hotel does not look anything like pictures. Really tired and rundown. Chunks of wall/dressing table missing. Flaking paint just really in need of attention
Needs a complete refurb, bedroom doors battered light flicker in room
Jacuzzi our of order, beams in pool rusty, tiles in pool
To be honest all very shabby

Location was convenient and clean but the building was shabby worn and tired
The Room and Hotel it self is a bit dated. Bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom was not clean. we found bits of hair stuck around the Bath and the worst part was the toilet did not flush. We got back rather late in the night and we didn't realise about the toilet until the morning resulting us to use the public toilets instead. Did mention it to the Receptionist however She had just apologised. It was embarrassing. Tip- Make sure you check the room before staying!

Coben Hotel
Although i only booked 48 hrs in advance i go a goo price for a Saturday night but the room we were given was a bit worn and tired. Nothing like the photo's shown. I couldn't turn off the radiators, the LED lamps either side of the bed got extremely hot which tells me that they were cheap imports from China as LED lamps dont get hot to touch. The room itself was tidy, bedding clean though the shower room could've been cleaner and a shelf in the shower would be helpful to put shampoo and shower gell on. i don't know if the main part of the hotel or leisure centre is any good as i didnt use them
Last weekend I booked this hotel in Birmingham and it was so bad hotel that I cannot describe the pain I went though.
I went to staff and asked them to change my room they said they don''t have anything other than that room.
I do not know how hotel has 3. 5 star when it is not even 1 star.
Pictures are so misleading and room and other facilities are in so bad order that I cannot describe them.
Carpet where old and smelled vetly bad, very scruffy.
Heating did not work all night next day they fixed it all night I slept in cold.
Toilet had mold in it and bath tub was dirty with other people hairs. Sink had a crack in it.
Not health and safety and fire evacuation poster was in the room no details of assembly point in case of fire.
This is not a hotel this is a horror house.
On top of it I called Expedia many times but Expedia system was down.
The bed linen and bath towels are clean and the bed is comfortable. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. However the hotel is run down and in serious need of a repaint and general maintenance. Very disappointing when you have been guided by the website. The waitress in the restaurant was very pleasant and polite however the food was not edible and two of our party of four had upset stomachs the next day ( one having partly eaten the curry bites and the other having eaten the fish cake etc. The two guests that weren't ill ( one partly ate Nachos and the other ate a few chips and a piece of pizza. We would not choose to return to this hotel and was glad that we only had one night here and that we had booked a different hotel for our second night.
