We had a really lovely one night stay. The pool was great. The breakfast was excellent- the kids particularly enjoyed the pancake machine. Gluten free toast and a delicious muffin was provided. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks.

Cracking golf courses, great food and drink.
Stayed here on a golf break with 31 other friends. Rooms a little dated, same as some of the decor. Main reception was very nice and can see they typically concentrate on the wedding venue side of things. However, for 32 golfers it was perfect for us. Food was great, accommodation was ok and the bars were stocked at all times. Golf courses were excellent, which was the highlight.

Hotel is no longer in the Marriott group and needs a good clean. Nice golf courses but very little places to sit and relax to get away from very busy bar areas.

The hotel has a beautiful setting, the golf course and grounds are immaculate and definitely provide a wow factor. The rooms themselves are starting to look a bit tired and dated but they were a good size with comfy beds. I'm not sure whether this was due to staff or guests but there was a lot of banging in the corridors from quite early in the morning (6am). We were put in a room at the very end of a long corridor so not a lot around us and we were surprised by how noisy it was - unfortunately this did disrupt our stay. The staff were very helpful and polite.

The 24 hour front desk is great - our flight was delayed and we did not check in until just before 2am and this was not a problem. Only 3 towels were in the room (4 people booked in), which was rectified quickly following a call to the reception. However, after a long, tiring day travelling we were looking forward to hot showers the next morning before staring our onward journey, but at 10am there was no hot water and we had to endure cold showers.

The hotel looks lovely as you arrive. the surroundings are very picturesque and it's clear a lot of effort goes into that. The main hotel itself looks great as you enter. Room was perfect apart from zero aircon. Wouldn't normally be a huge issue but it had been over 30 degrees that day (11/0824) and the room was stifling. I put the fan on they provided and did cool it down some. The main issue was the iron (I know, iron it before you leave) as when i used the steam feature having topped it up with water it blew out rusty water and left a perfect dotted outline of brown water on my white shirt. Not the best...

Didn’t like the price of a round of golf, total ripoff, why is it £140.00 a round each in the morning and £27-50 a round after 3.00pm on exactly the same golf course is the course covered in a precious material in the morning but not in the afternoon RIPOFF!!!!

Good value for a mid week stay. Rooms are a little tired but for the price that was ok. The restaurant was excellent, good choice on the menu and really nicely done.
