The room was large, bright and very confortable. The bathroom however: There was a shower cabin with no water. The sink wasn't flushing, leaving all the disgusting soap deposits accumulate on the sink. The tub had a shower head but no shower curtain. The shower head mounting was in a place where it was extremely difficult to extract it from. If not extremely careful showering in the tub results in a bathroom floor flooding. At the price you are well advised to look somewhere else for accommodation.

Comfortable Hotel
Overall the hotel is what it is and there were no surprises - it was comfortable and worked well for my circumstances. The town and rail station were in close proximity to the hotel so it was in a good place for business or tourists.

Everywhere other than the rooms were nice and clean. The first executive room had no power so was moved to another executive room. Both rooms were outdated, dirty and had no air conditioning. The toilet is in its own tiny room with no hand basin so you have to move to another room to wash your hands. The decor and furnishings are warn and dirty. The bed has a socket and USB outlets on one side only. The pillows were clumpy. I had to ask reception at 2am for a fan as the room was unbearably hot. For the price, the product is awful and needs a renovation. But the staff were nice.

Very courteous staff, room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was Full English and excellent with wonderful service. The slow elevator was the only problem but on the whole a wonderful stay, will book here again on any future trips to Reading 🇬🇧

No Pool as Advertised!
Disappointed to find out on arrival that the pool and sauna was closed for maintenance. This is the only reason I booked this hotel. Also, the Guinness is the disgusting, stay clear of that.

Great location for Reading, though the local area is a bit noisy at night. Ok rooms, nice staff. Shame about the pool being closed and annoying fire alarm issue for a few hours one day.

Booked up 5 days in advance and choose this hotel because of the facilities like swimming pool sauna, and the morning before I was due to check in they emailed saying all of them facilities was closed as I was working that day it didn’t give me a chance to look for another hotel. Plus my plug in the sink was also broken I did inform them straight away but it was never fixed

Long wait at car park gate to be let in. No car parking space even tho we called 3 days before and reversed one. They let us park by the bins in the end for £19 not what I would expect. Booked and paid for breakfast then in the morning said we didn't pay and tried to charge us twice for breakfast. Main reason for staying was the swimming pool facilities only for them too be shut until further notice.
