Dreadful Experience
The property had the following issues:
- tap in the bathroom wasn't functioning, i.e. there was no running water, which meant I had to brush my teeth in the kitchen
- night locker was broken, i.e. I couldn't lock myself at night and couldn't feel safe
- wifi wasn't working starting from Day 2 of my stay
- 2 door handles were completely broken, i.e. I couldn't use the wardrobe
The following things were missing for the apartment:
- Soap (meaning I couldn't even wash my hands when I arrived)
- Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel (meaning that I couldn't take a shower when I arrived. I reported this to Jean Philippe, and he promised they will be provided to me on Day 2, and they weren't. This meant that I couldn't take shower for 2 days and eventually had to borrow some form my friend who was staying in another apartment)
- Iron & ironing board (meaning that I couldn't iron my cloths for 4 (!) days, and giving I was on a business trip, this was purely unacceptable)
- Any sort of tea, sugar, etc (meaning that when I arrived at 11pm I couldn't even have a cup of tea).
Customer service is dreadful as well. I was constantly messaging the manager to get some of the issues resolved (at lease shampoo!), and he just didn't care.
So far, the worst apartment in Reading, and I've seen quite a few.
Not recommended, if you want to have a shower, or iron your t-shirt.
