Not the best start

Checked in and for to the room which wasn’t prepared as should have been (sofa bed not ready). Phone reception and then were told we’d need to move room. The sofa bed was ready but not ideal for a child. The mechanism was on show and the mattress was thin to the point even my seven year old said he could feel the metal under it! Breakfast was good. Lots of choice.

Had us waiting in the reception area upon a very late check in, then when finally given a room we were give a room with a disabled toilet and floor tiles were all cracked. NOT GOOD! Changed room for us in the end.

Terrible stay

Fire alarm went off at 1am, staff had no clue what was going on we all just sat in reception tired and confused while the alarm kept setting back off to a deafening sound for prolonged periods of time, nobody even apologized or mentioned this when checking out. So loud from busy broad street despite checking in with a child, neither of us could go back to sleep after the alarm

Bring earplugs!!

Bring earplugs. Very lucky to get a higher room at back of hotel but you still hear the noise of the nightclubs.

Very ideal for a hotel stay

Stayed here for a business trip. Centrality was key, so the hotel does offer that, brilliant location right in the centre by the rail station. Very easy to get to via a short walk or even a quick cab ride. The hotel is on higher floors making it almost sound proof. The restaurant was good for the breakfast next morning, good choices and cordial staff. I forgot dental kit, which was provided by reception. They even took care of my luggage as I had my breakfast after checkout. All in all, a good, clean, centrally located, comfortable high standard hotel stay for a reasonable price to most its competitors surrounding it. Highlight is the amenities around the hotel, a Sainsbury's literally across the hotel from you in-case anything you may forget to bring with you. Several takeaways nearby, a whole shopping mall in walking distance and many bars, pubs, clubs and breweries around. There was even a massage place, a cinema and a gym in less than 2mins of walking distance from here.

Location location location

The hotel was excellent the room was small but had everything I needed the bed was on the hard side but still comfy. My only complaint was the night club noise you could hear and feel the vibrations of the music which kept me awake but fantastic location if your out for clubbing

Overnight stay

The hotel and staff were lovely, my one main concern was that the fire alarm went off at 1am and we all evacuated, there didn't seem to be many staff on site overseeing the evacuation and we weren't given any information and no head counts seemed to be being done. The only time we saw a member of staff was after the alarm was turned off and we went see about going back in the building.

Disabled ..... Have stayed here a few times now and its great to see the wheelchair lift is now working again. Fire alarm went off at 1.00am due to someone smoking in their room , once it stopped a member if staff came up to see if i was ok.
