Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar stylish and good choice of drinks. Room quite basic but comfortable, except that an electric portable heater provided the heating and this gave me an electric shock when I turned it off, fusing the TV etc. This was quite alarming though the member of staff I told at checkout was very sympathetic and checked I was OK.
Saint Pauls house has a restaurant under the hotel, you cant really here anything from downstairs. Theres not a lot of food options also you will need to book a table as it might be booked up and no space till someone has finish which could be a long wait. The room is very comfy and the size of the bed was a bit small for 2 adults. you dont need to bring shampoo or body wash as they provide you with that. The lift non funtioning. I didnt have good view outside of the window. The room itself was clean. we rased the heat to 30 which meant that it was cold and kept terning off and we had to put it on again about 5 times. if your staying one night you dont get a remote which is odd. We recommend everyone to book another hotel!!
Stayed here before and was beautiful spotlessly clean. Was really disappointed this time the blind in the hotel room was broken. The shower was dirty and mold by the mirror in batbroom
I was disappointed by my stay. The room was not particularly clean, very cold with the window open, very noisy (single glaze with many AC units outside) and very bright with fire escape light illuminating the whole room.
cushions were very thick and hard making for a terrible night.
2nd floor (very high ceiling) with lift out of order.
very good breakfast but apart from that, the rest is best to forget.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
small beds, problems with the service
The rooms we ordered had small beds, and it was a problem for some of us.
The elivator doesn't work for over a year
The cleaning staff took the extra blanke we asked and we had to ask again (one time)
Took the wet towels and did not replace them with new ones (2 times)
Lift not working, no TV remote, heating not working and shower head badly leaking means 3 stars. Good location, good bar, bed comfy. Basic room for the money.
Lovely hotel in a perfect location. Has a small car park too at the back which was a bonus. Breakfast was really nice. Only down side the mattress wasn't very comfortable. Would stay again
The aesthetic of the place is nice but compared to a lot of city hotels we have stayed in, it was overpriced for what.it offered.
Room was small, bed was uncomfortable and tiny, reception staff was abrupt, lift wasn't working.
In the bar the menu was overpriced for what you received and the staff were not attentive.
It looks a lot nicer than what you'll actually experience
Very pleasant 3 night stay at St Paul's House. Room was spacious and had everything you would need. Free mini bar was a bonus. Food was excellent in the Restaurant. Good vibes around the bar area too.
Extremely loud music from the bar audible in the room until almost midnight, at least over the weekend. Not just the bass through the walls or something, but to the point that you can shazam the songs and hear what the DJ is saying. Fine if you’re going to be out that late, but not if you expect to be able to relax in your room before midnight
Fantastic place to stay everything was faultless great location just a nice walk into the city away from all the madness that a big city brings my place to stay when ever I’m in Brum
Lovely hotel with excellent spacious room with free mini-bar including champagne... Pity the TV wasn't working correctly and the lift was out of order. Interesting good-value breakfast menu. Brilliant location to explore Birmingham
