The room was comfy and clean just need abit of a make over in the showers but bathroom clean , i had to put kettle on the floor to boil it as the plug wasn't long enough to boil it on counter , but owners are lovely and i would stay there again

For the price paid this was an excellent stay. Can’t expect full luxury at this price. Everything was as expected - rooms warm and bed comfy. Tea and coffee in room, limited help yourself breakfast as highlighted.

LOVELY HOTEL
What a lovely hotel and really nice surprise! booked a one night stay on the last minute and wasnt execting the best due to paying such a bargain pricexx we were amazed from the moment we walked into the hotel mark and lovely receptionist were so welcoming and even though we were two hours early for checkin they we so nice and made us a free coffee and quickly got out room ready xx Complimentary snacks and drinks throughout our stay including fruitx we was amazed. Room had everything we needed for a comfortable mini break thank you so much.

The property is within walking distance to town and shops. The room was nice and clean. Fresh towels. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The only thing that I was disappointed with was breakfast. I expected to have cooked breakfast. Instead, it was self service at the reception area. Cereals, orange juice, porridge and individual wrapped croissants. They run out of bread and couldn’t have a toast.

We stayed 1 night - On arrival we should have had a parking space but reception couldn’t find key for barrier so we had to park away from the hotel at an additional cost to us. We were shown to our room which was very basic and consisted of a bed, a mirrored wardrobe, a surface that was a piece of kitchen side, a very small (understatement) en-suite. On a positive side - The room was clean, the shower in the en-suite worked well. On a realistic side - the bed base was 6 inches smaller than the mattress, giving unusable overhang, the mattress was only double and was of such poor quality that you could feel EVERY single spring! I asked to change rooms as the bed was unacceptable to be told no rooms were available. I asked for a mattress topper of some description and was given a fitted sheet and this was before we had noticed the 6” overhang of the mattress! Reception is only manned between 2pm and 5pm - so don’t expect any kind of service. So let’s talk breakfast - part of the “bed and breakfast” we had booked - breakfast is in the reception, I won’t say served because there’s no staff at the hotel. Help yourself to toast (but no clean plates or a knife to butter or jam it) have a bowl of cereals (out of the box as no clean dishes) … maybe a nice cup of tea (fetch your mug from your room as no mugs available). Pictures on the website must have been taken a good few years ago and not updated. I could go on but I’m out of characters for review sorry don’t waste your money

Do not get ripped off by this place!
Horrendous experience at this hotel. Our room was advertised as a deluxe double room with a fireplace, jetted bath, bath robes, memory foam mattress, with continental breakfast. On arrival we we're shown to a room no bigger than a shoe box with a tiny shower. When I raised this with the man at reception he said I had to call the manager, waited 20 mins and still no call back, so he very kindly moved our room. The deluxe room, which was apparently one of their best, had broken taps, wallpaper peeling off, no sign of bathrobes or fireplace and the bath was just a basic bath, not a jet in sight. I complained again to the manager that the room was not what we had paid for abs was told "our rates are competitive for the area". She didn't seem to understand that we'd paid for a room that we didn't receive. Overnight was awful. The matress was old and lumpy and if it was memory foam god knows what memory it had! There were no curtains, just basic fabric blinds that did nothing to keep out the light, so from about 4am there was no chance of sleep. The continental breakfast consisted it mini cereal packets and a load of bread.... They couldn't even be bothered to nip to aldi for some pastries or croissants. The worst experience. Total rip off with an awful manager who couldn't care less that she falsely advertised her rooms.
