Beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds with ample parking. We had to request to change rooms as our first bedroom in the annex smelt badly from damp. The reception staff were very obliging thankfully and we swapped rooms. Unfortunately our second room had no heating and it was freezing. We managed but explained to a lovely receptionist the situation and she refunded our breakfasts. All dealt with very professionally and we are extremely appreciative.

The milner is an exceptional hotel unfortunately the easy accesible room wasnt good .. wardrobe by the bed instead of bedside table, and the toilet and shower were blocked from when we arrived.

The building is beautiful and the rooms are well decorated. The staff are professional and helpful. The location is great for exploring York town centre, you can walk to the Minster, the Shambles and the art gallery. Two points for inprovement, guests shouldnt have to pay for parking when they've paid to stay at a hotel. It was £40 to park for two days. They charge £20 to park per day which is quite bad. I've never been made to pay for parking at a hotel I'm staying at before. Also, the only options available for breakfast is a very average buffet breakfast and the coffee is terrible! It's instant coffee poured from one of those thermos jugs. Nobody wants to start their day with bad instant coffee. I understand they're a large facility, so buffet breakfast is understandable but at least offer guests proper coffee!

I brilliant location most of the sights to see are in walking distance, gorgeous decor throughout the hotel but the odd thing could do with touching up but only if I’m being really fussy. Would definitely go back again.

A wonderful hotel - the junior suite was beautiful with an amazing view of the Minster. The shower was amazing. Even little details like the local products in the Tuck Box, the coffee bags were so good Im going to buy some now. Would 100% recommend.
