Business Stop Over

A good, functional business hotel albeit a little remote but there is a shuttle service to Canary Wharf tube station which helps. The restaurant / bar area was ok with sport on the TV albeit the food was only average but all round service was good from check-in to bar and restaurant staff

Stay to go to O2

Had to queue at reception for 20 mins to check in - not acceptable. Room was ok but certain things were not clean, eg hair dryer. Hanging rail for clothes and drawers were in the bathroom! So clothes got damp. Unfortunately not walkable from hotel to O2 as no footbridge over river - so have to get DLR from East India and change at Canning Town onto Jubilee.

Nice Saturday night away

Nice hotel. Out of the way but had nice views of the O2 and the river. Room was large but a little grubby. Dusty and marks on the carpet. Breakfast nice. Expect to pay london prices at the bar!

Not impressed…

I chose this hotel for the spa and where it was located, but was let down by quite a few things… Firstly I spent weeks trying to get through to the spa to book something in for my husbands birthday. I had to do on arrival, where I was told half the treatments were not available, and had to wait for a phone call on the Monday morning to find out what would be. I then had an hour to sort myself out!! When I arrived the car park (if you can call it that) was full. I was then directed into a different space, where I had to park on an unsteady ramp. On the Monday when I returned to my car, it was locked and had to walk back round (in the cold) to let reception know, as they did not answer the phone. My biggest issue… I wanted a relaxing 2 days with my husband. We were put on the 7th floor, where they were doing works. We listened to drilling throughout the day, and at one point the fire alarm went off, although we did not have to evacuate, it was not what we expected. Overall I was not impressed, for the money I paid.

The location is good however parking is very expensive and not enough of it for the price of the hotel. You would’ve thought they would’ve given complementary parking or a discounted parking.

Lovely room, albeit it was spoiled by the huge stains on the floor and desk. I have emailed and sent messages via Expedia chat and I’m disappointed to say the hotel doesn’t seem bothered to follow up. This services sadly stops me rebooking this hotel in future. Be careful with the VIP rooms, as lovely as they are, they’re not as clean as you’d expect. I will allow a further couple of days before I raise a complaint direct with Radisson
