Great temporary stopover.
Was perfectly placed for Heathrow Terminal 5 and used the pods to get to the terminal in the morning. We ate at the hotel restaurant with great view of terminal 5. Very relaxed dinner, there was no rush to get you out the door quickly, the service was attentive and the food was great. We were both really impressed that the towels were a good size, nice not to find a towel the size of a postage stamp like many other places. My only issue was the mattress, it was quite old and not quite so comfy.It was one of the older rooms so perhaps it’s due for updating. I would stay again.

The rooms are very basic with no water glasses in room, but clean. I went to the bar for a few alcoholic drinks, it was not well maintained, after ordering the drinks, the lady asked me how I wanted to pay, I said cash, she said she did not except cash. This was not what I expect from a welcoming hotel. I left the bar, went to the Premier Inn across the street, they were very happy to except cash, also it was a much cleaner bar area, I had the drinks I required and a very delicious cheese burger.

This was my second time at Thistle and it was again a wonderful experience. From the ride in the pod to a delicious dinner at the Aviator restaurant, everything was lovely. The room was spacious and clean and the staff was eager to please. Next London visit I will definitely use again!
