Dated hotel. Moved from our first room due to mould on the walls and an awful smell in the room. No apology from the reception staff.

Away for work

This was a 1-night stay for work. Space in car park on arrival, which was free for residents. Reception was business like. I was in room 24, which was up a narrow staircase (no lift). The room was okay but looked tired from a decorative point of view. Ensuite was okay but again tired, however everything was functional except the radiator. Room had a plug in heater and air conditioning. TV was okay but control could not provide a TV guide. The internet was awful, managed to get online after arrival until about 1730 and then nothing after that time. Pillows on the bed were the best thing in the room, bed squeaked when you moved in it. At night there was a constant noise nearby, so it took sometime to get to sleep.

As always the staff were all helpful and friendly. Good choices for breakfast. The bedroom and bathroom clean and warm and rather 'tired' and dark.

Used to be nice but now below a 1 star

Very disappointed. Shabby with handles missing from drawers. Broken rough edges. Tony bathroom with shower that would not turn off. Like something from the 1990s. I used this hotel fir my clients in the 90s and noughties. It was good but not been upgraded since!! Deactivated our key 1h before check out...very useful as we were loadingcthe car!
