Perfect for a nice stay in Stratford. Staff lovely, breakfast excellent value, the Bear bar and barman were lovely as well. Couldn’t fault it for the money we paid. Perfect location with added bonus of parking at reasonable price.
A great place to stay. Walking distance to theatre etc and lovely position by the river. Friendly staff and pleasant room although temperature too hot in room. Would definitely stay again.
This hotel is first class for its location to the RSC theatre, which was what we needed on this visit. Having said that, it would be suitable for visiting the birthplace, high street etc too, if mobility is not an issue because it is right next to the river, just the other side from the theatre, with the Bridgefoot pedestrian bridge just outside and pretty much level access. We visited at a very quiet time of the year and so service in bar and food service at breakfast were both very fast. We will have to visit again at a busier time to see if that is always the case!
Our room was quiet and comfortable, the bed was large as well as snuggly and what a treat to have a window that can actually be opened for fresh air fiends like us! We were in room 5, on the ground floor.
We had a lovely stay, friendly helpful staff. Lovely room, comfortable bed. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful stay really close to the town and theatres, restaurants etc. Everything is within walking distance and the walk is very picturesque too.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The hotel itself was nice - reception looked lovely though corridors a bit dated, and the room was wonderful. Sam on reception greeted us and was incredibly thoughtful about room placement (we didn’t want the noise above the bar!). It was a lovely welcome but a bit ironic.
We have stayed in dog friendly hotels before and never had an issue - however, a neighbouring room to us left their dogs alone for 4 hours (against hotel policy) and they were barking and whining and scratching very loudly the entire evening. We had only booked one night away here as it seemed perfect to relax, but unfortunately it was hard to get any rest with the constant noise. We told reception many times, and they simply said they couldn’t get through on the phone to the owners. No offer to move us, or do anything to make our evening better. It was incredibly sad to hear distressed animals for the entire night.
I understand things can be out of a hotels control, but if you’re wanting a relaxing break I’d pick any of the similar priced hotels nearby. We likely won’t return.
We have stayed at Swan’s nest twice, and have had a good stay both times!
The beds are a good size, pillows are nice! Bathroom was clean and nice toiletries!
We had to pay for car parking but only £8 overnight, so not too bad!
Breakfast was really good.
Great location to walk into Town.
The only downside was no beer on New Years Eve afternoon! we like to have a couple of pints late afternoon, all the beer pumps at the bar were out of beer, not ideal on New Years Eve!
We arrived earlier than check in time because we had tickets for the theatre (the play started before check in time). While we did not gain access to our room, we were able to check in and gain access to parking, which we appreciated. All members of the party liked the hotel.
Welcoming reception staff. Room spotlessly clean. 10% discount in pub and restaurant a nice touch. Room had fridge with mineral water.
It would have been nice to have drinking water glasses in addition to those provided in the bathroom.
Hotel lovely 5 minutes walk over the river avon to charming town center and xmas market.
Hotel has a bistro and its own pub which made eating easy food was very good at good price with 10% off all food and drinks exceptional four day break for our wedding anniversary.

Lovely hotel for a weekend getaway.
Stayed in the original end of the hotel. Very comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy.
Great location, just a few minutes from the centre.
Breakfast was lovely, very filling and a nice choice.
Looking forward to staying again.
We are regulars at this hotel. Room spacious and bed comfortable. Shower was over bath and the shower screen leaked creating a wet floor. Bed sheet was marked even though it had been laundered. Staff apologised but because I had pre paid through Expedia they could only compensate by removing parking charge.
A nice hotel with on site parking, have stayed here many times. Within easy walk of town centre. Pub and separate restaurant on site. Rooms in the newer part at the back are very quiet. Great staff.
When you walk from the hotel into the town center you can avoid crossing busy road by using alternative footpath…. Ask people at reception desk to show you where to go.
