The hotel is very close to the station as well as the city centre - you won’t need to walk far to get to anything. Check-in was slow but easy.
I was given a bedroom that shared an enclosed lobby with another bedroom. Unfortunately the guests in the paired room were really loud throughout the day and night, slamming doors, shouting, in and out constantly - they had children in another room down the corridor. Quite why the children weren’t given my room and myself put elsewhere, I don’t know - there were other rooms available apparantly. I phoned reception at 4am to complain however this made no difference. During the day, when I left my room, the joining room would open their door aggressively and look out at me. I had a totally sleepless night which ruined my day in Manchester, resulting in cancelled plans. In the morning, there was a different person on reception who was wonderfully helpful and very apologetic - he gave me a new room (it was an upgrade but all that was different is the new room had more floor space but no bath, as well as giving me a complimentary breakfast and drink). However upon returning to my room, there was a maid in there who wouldn’t leave as I was packing my things to go to my new room which became very awkward, I don’t know why she didn’t leave. The new room was a lot quieter but by this point I was so exhausted, the trip had been tainted and I was glad to leave.
