It was a bit overpriced for a single night stay tbh and a fair price for what you get would have been about £50-60 maximum

I enjoyed my stay at the Citadel, b&b hotel, despite the Weather being a bit cold for early June '
Firstly they didn’t know I was coming! Top floor room yet the view was across the street. The room was very tired, which I told them on leaving. The shower was merely a dribble and unclean as there were items still in the soap holder from a previous visitor. The bed was uncomfortable. There was no breakfast even though they advertise as a bed and breakfast. Stay away is my advice.
Our stay was fantastic the lady who owned citadel was very friendly and she upgraded us to a ensuite bathroom at no extra cost. Will defo come to the citadel again
My girlfriend and I arrived and stayed on a Saturday night, I asked for a bottle of wine which was added to the service and it was very nice. We had such a lovely time and stay at the hotel, we would return in the future!
The room was fairly basic - no chair or wardrobe - but ok for a single night. Although I had booked a room with en-suite facilities, when I arrived I was initially offered a room which wasn't en-suite but this was quickly remedied.
The owner was friendly so that was nice.
Another discovery on arrival was that the hotel had stopped providing a cooked breakfast a couple of years ago so the only food on offer was a continental style breakfast i.e. toast and a hot drink. When I rechecked the details on the hotels.com website I couldn't find any reference to this, so it came as a total surprise.
The hotel is in a good location fairly close to the Hoe and city centre.

Nasty step just iside door watch out . Bad matrest on bed and shared bathroom but good location and ok price for the area £5 on street parking.
The B&B manager is really helpful and friendly. It's in a great location, very close to town centre, the Hoe and harbour, really easy to walk everywhere. Nice building, slightly faded, but no complaints. Easy check in and out.

Dirty tired hotel which advertised en suite bathroom but was shared with others.
Nice hotel with a basic small room but adequate for my two night stay. Coat hangers on a multiple coat hook but no wardrobe? Enough space for a small one next to the bed. A couple would have been disappointed no wardrobe with more clothing and a longer stay. Clean Toilet and shower facilities just outside the room. Hot outside during the day but not surprisingly after dark it got colder and the heating was not switched on in the room.
Good breakfast cooked to order
Friendly and helpful landlady
Great location for the Hoe, Barbican and city centre
Basic but clean.staff pleasant and friendly. Food well cooked but basic also. No fruit except orange juice. Only white bread, a choice would have been nice.
