Staff were great - one wall was covered with damp stains & paint was flaking off onto carpet & desk. Bed felt a bit damp.
The staff were really freindly and felf very reassuring as im epileptic and got autism so put me at ease and always polite witch made my stay even better.
Perfect location for visiting Plymouth lots to do within walking distance hotel friendly clean beds really comfy and spotless bedroom my only complaint we had no shelving or drawers in our bedroom we only stayed 3nights but if you were there longer no where to put anything other than hangers

This hotel is very dated . We had to ask for more pillows because they were so flat ,bed was comfortable but new duvets and pillows are needed. The carpet in room was stained.
Clean room and public areas. Polite and efficient staff.

Quite dated generally. The bathroom had the smallest shower cubicle I’ve ever encountered. No air conditioning in the room, no refrigerator but the carpet stains were interesting.
Location good and staff friendly.
Lovely, friendly staff, but the bed was so uncomfortable I had a bad night sleep. The fire alarm went off twice at 1:30am and although I was apologised to, I feel like the overall stay wasn’t enjoyable.
This is a wonderful, grand, historic building and retains the ambience of Victorian grandeur, even though there are a few scuffs and scrapes and rusted ironwork!. The reception staff were extremely welcoming and efficient and this was the case with all staff that we encountered including the breakfast staff. The room was beautifully decorated and fitted and was very comfortable with all amenities that you could want. Lots of sockets by the bed as well. Our room benefitted from a superb sea view. The breakfast was very good, though veggie/vegan sausages would have been a welcome addition. For the price we paid, this hotel was an absolute bargain and we would love to return here again. Perfect location for anyone visiting Plymouth.
