Excellent service from checking in to checking out. Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. Excellent breakfast included with a wide range of choices both hot and cold. Coffee was great. The room had everything i needed for my stay and was very clean. The hotel is very clear about the stairs being difficult to go up with large luggage items but offer space to store downstairs i believe. Great hotel and staff and will definitely stay again when next in Southampton.

This was a wonderfully unique hotel with old world charm. While no lift/elevatorr, the old stairways added to the experience. I wish we had planned to stay longer!

Great staff. Really helpful and friendly. Great food. Unbeatable convenience for P&O/Cunard/Carnival cruises. Mostly very comfortable room. (AC was not enough for a hot day.) As many as three flights of stairs to room.

We come to Southampton each year to attend a festival on the common and we’ve stayed here for the past 6 years. Consistently amazing. We love the rooms at the front as we love to hear the vibrant atmosphere of the bars and restaurants but if you want a quiet room ask for one at the rear.
