The inn Is full of old world charm and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 8 which was very comfortable but we couldn’t use the shower arrangement as it kept falling out of its fixing. Breakfast was good but as with other reviews there was no muesli so we had taken our own.
Fab location to do the castle and Christmas lights. Staying in a very old property you have to expect a few creaks and oddities. The main thing is that the place was immaculately clean, the staff are friendly and caring and the breakfast is spot on! Lovely feel to the whole place. Comfy beds and a very good heating system. I would definitely stay again. 👍😊
Warm comfortable room in a building with character. Excellent tapas restaurant and good breakfast. Friendly staff. Old Golden Hen on tap too, which is very difficult to find.
A welcoming place to stay overnight with South American vibes in a traditional pub. Delicious breakfast, but a little more detail to customers needs was required as coffee was cold and had to ask for teaspoons and more bread for toast.
We stayed for 2 nights abs thought the hotel was excellent. Very good food, superb staff and near enough to town centre.
Being pensioners we did find the stairs a little difficult especially carrying cases but then we quite understand you cannot need around with a listed building.
Very good place to stay would def go there again.

Family room
Room for a family was functional and good value for a family of 4. We did not spend much time in the room so really it was just a base to sleep. Breakfast was included and was nice.
