The room was very clean and well located. The breakfast was good and the staff very professional. The only negative aspect was that the sofa bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

4th or 5th time I have used this hotel but not as good as previous visits. Had to call reception on both days to centrally switch off the air conditioning in the room as it was noisy and could not switch it off on the room control pad, second time was 2am in the morning. Breakfast team worked incredibly hard but too much work for them leading to guests having to clear a space to sit. Hopefully this was just a one off.

We really liked this property. Our room had 2 twin beds, air conditioning, a large screen TV to watch the Olympics, and a fridge. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and plentiful. It was a short walking distance to many of the sights/attractions my daughter and I wanted to see.

The sofabed was terrible. It was not only hard but there were also two gaps. One was near the back (horizontal), and the other was vertical. There was no padding between the bed and the sheet. It made me have a really bad back pain. It ruined my vacation in York.

While the buffet offered a variety of delicious options, there were some organizational issues, and the coffee machines were not working properly. The terrace doors being locked caused some congestion during meal times. The room was a bit small, making it difficult to access our suitcases. I would suggest improving the sofa bed's comfort to better accommodate three guests. On a positive note, the staff members were excellent.

Went for one night to attend a concert. Hotel is very central easy to access and staff were very welcoming. Excellent accessible room with great amenities. Reasonable buffet breakfast. Would use again. Water in the room would be a nice touch. We parked in the Coppergate car park not the q parks recommended as we felt this was more accessible for the hotel. Just be aware that this car park does not allow entry or removal between 7pm and 7am. If you are in there and meed to leave in these times there is a £50 charge, BUT, parking is free here with a blue badge.

Exceptionally clean with a number of USB ports for recharging. Bright and inviting breakfast room with wonderful selection of hot/cold items. Loved the ability to order light bites in the evening when you just don't feel like going out to eat. This was especially helpful as my husband had a knee disability and had to limit his walking. Location is not what you'd call pretty but it's only a 10 minute walk to the Shambles and tons of places to eat. I would return!

Great stay! Great location!
We had an amazing stay, loved the room and the facilities. Staff were friendly, gym was great and the breakfast left us spoilt for choice. My only negative which is small in the grand scheme was the mugs at the hot drink station were not clean. I went through 4 before finding one clean enough to use. This was probably due to a faulty dishwasher but other than that, we loved it and plan to return next year.

Great Hotel, perfect Location
Hotel was very nice, Modern, clean, check in/out easy no problems. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. As other people have said - Bed is too low, else hotel is great, Perfect location for visiting all the sights in the city, Planning to come back next year for a longer stay!.
