Rooms are tired especially the bathroom. The rooms were very hot at night. No aircon which led to an uncomfortable nights sleep..Overpriced drinks and food. Polite and efficient staff in the reception and bar area. Unfortunately, its not worth the price.

Noisy Far to expensive for what it was
Restoration work was taking place. We had no prior warning of this even though it was obvious it had been on-going for a while. We should have received some kind of price reduction when booking. Also the walls are to thin we could hear the man snoring in the next room very clearly. When booking I was of the opinion that car parking would be free but I was charged £30 taking my cost for a one night stay plus breakfast to over £220 on a Tuesday!!

Stayed 2 nights short walk from railway station checking in was quick room was ready at 12 o’clock which was great room was clean. Could do with a redecoration but was fine for now. Only problem was the bed is really hard that needs sorting but apart from that pleasant stay f breakfast was lovely in the mornings really good choice of food and service, really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend.

Christmas market, York
At the start of my stay I arrived at the hotel. I booked this sort out because they had parking. There was no parking carpark was full to find a parking space in a nearby carpark to the hotel went out for a walk round York Christmas markets. Come back for some food food with very average, next morning managed to get parking at the hotel cost me £30 had a good day out around York Got up next morning for breakfast There was no tables available. We ended up eating on a small round table in the bar area. Couldn’t put anything on the table. It was that small completely or not at this hotel again it is not value for money.

Great location right in front of York tower and a great deal with Hotel.com but remember to add car park price Nov24 £30 until 12.00 next day however the price is about the same everywhere Friendly attentive staff, lady on reception was excellent as was the breakfast manager regarding gluten free meals We will definitely be back
