Nice hotel but room was too hot
Nice hotel in a really good location. Room was clean and nice. Only thing was the room was very hot even though the window had been left open when we arrived. The aircon was turned out because of the time of year. It was uncomfortable at night and didn’t sleep well at all. Had to open the window which didn’t make much difference and was then quite noisy. Shame because it’s a lovely hotel but I wouldn’t stay again because of the room being too hot.

Particularly liked room lay out. Staff very helpful. Liked that there is a quiet part to the bar area. And Particularly impressed with the coffee and pastry deal for breakfast rather than having to pay for full breakfast which we can never do justice to. Also very convenient for exploring York on foot.

Nice but room too hot.
Hotel is great. Unfortunately for whatever reason the room was unbelievably hot. Averaging 26 degrees, even with the heating turned off and also the window being open. The air conditioning option was not available either because it's winter. This really means sleeping was difficult.
