We arrived before the designated check-in time and requested the receptionist for an early check-in. She mentioned that there were no rooms ready, but still requested my information, so I provided my complete name. She requested my name once more, mentioning that it was not in the system. Next, I presented her with the confirmation and receipt I had received via email and on my Expedia account. After glancing at my confirmation email/receipt, she continues to claim that my name wasn't in the system despite me spelling it out for her. When I inquired about the name on the system, she instantly changed her tone and said that it was in the system after all. Messing around like that completely changed my perception of the hotel as what could have been a smooth experience with excellent customer service ended up leaving a bad impression. A 4 star hotel must have excellent customer service and should not have unfriendly receptionists representing the hotel. Another criticism is that they should offer at least two bottles of water in the room since it is a 4-star establishment and there was a lack of amenities in the bathroom. Therefore, considering the price paid, it would be advisable to seek accommodation elsewhere with better services as this hotel resembles more of a 3-star rating.
