Wonderful experience staying at the Milner in York. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the hotel is beautiful and exudes a calm and tranquil vibe. The superior twin room was spotless and very comfortable. Very large modern and bright bathroom and wide access rainfall shower. The lighting in the room was a bit dim for me but may suit others. Lovely pool which wasn’t busy. Good buffet breakfast which was leisurely and offered a wide variety of options. We requested a late checkout and as it was my birthday and courtesy of the hotel, I received a complimentary plate of delicious mini cakes which added to the special magic of this wonderful hotel. Staff go the extra mile and are happy to cater for any request. Ideally placed for walking around the stunning historic sites of York and jumping on the train home! Definitely recommended.
Had a lovely stay the hotel was spotless the housekeepers knocked on your door every morning asking if you wanted your room cleaning. Lovely helpful staff, the hotel was lovely we would definitely go back.
The only thing i wouldnt get again is the breakfast we paid £36 for 2 of us which for what we got was expensive, theres plenty of cheaper nice places to eat in york so would go out next time. We will definitely come again though.
Beautiful stay and beautiful hotel. We were upgraded on arrival which was a perfect and unexpected gift, staff were so friendly and accommodating. We loved it here. So convenient and the history that remains including the original door at the rail station end was divine!
It was okay. The staff were very nice, but the room lacked in cleanliness and some facilities were faulty. There was also a great deal of noise coming from the lift which was directly behind the head board.
Blinds didn’t open, carpets and curtains were stained.
Bedding was unclean.
