Highly recommend.
Beautiful venue and rooms. Friendly and very accommodating staff, we arrived before the check in time and as our room was available we were able to book in early. Very comfortable bed and the shower was amazing. Excellent location. Highly recommend.

Staff are really nice and helpful. We had issues with our room and were moved to another to compensate it was upgraded. The annex or sidings it's called is tired and shoddy in places. The further you walk from reception the standard declines and I would personally avoid unless room was cheap. The main hotel is very pleasant and has character and charm. Lots of road works and very very busy hotel position over Christmas. There is a pop up pup in the grounds which can be a bonus if that's what you want. Would I stay again.. yes if the price was right for the main building. Very convenient for station and has a door onto the platform. Very nice people and despite the issues a pleasant stay.

Probably the nicest hotel I’ve stayed in in the uk. Location was perfect 30 secs walk from train station and 10 min walk straight into city centre. We had the best views from our room straight out over the garden and city and the catherdral. Room was huge and comfortable. The whole hotel was glorious and staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was yummy I would definitely come back here again .

Fantastic York stay Christmas market 2024.
Fantastic hotel right in the city centre Very friendly staff and the hotel is amazing and very spacious I will be staying there again 100% Loads of parking spaces £20 for 24hrs Christmas market gets very crowded so you need to be prepared for this.

Little night away
Great location, right next to train station and couple of minutes walk in to the centre. Hotel was beautiful, very impressed. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Room was lovely. A couple of hairs and a bit of dust in the bathroom, so could have been better, but was by no means dirty. Would definitely go back

Lovely hotel close to the station which was perfect for an overnight business trip. The only thing I don't like is the restaurant layout which is somewhat canteen like (the food was excellent though). A hotel of this style really needs a more upmarket intimate restaurant alongsid the main offering.
