Was a very short stay but really enjoyed it. It was unfortunate that my room was behind reception and next to dining room so more noise than I’d have preferred but it was a single room which I’m guessing are limited. Very clean, bed comfortable, tea & coffee in room, nice breakfast and friendly service throughout. Would definitely stay again.

Wheatlands is a great hotel, friendly staff, clean and comfy rooms, close to the city center and other areas, yet quiet.

Beautifully presented flower beds and grounds greeted us on arrival and when at the reception the favourable impression continued with a friendly and helpful receptionist to greet us. Room was large and well appointed. Breakfast was quickly served and enough to set us up for the day and once again service was friendly and efficient with any requested extras produced with a smile and without out fuss. All in all a pleasant place to stay and excellent value for money.

Friendly staff Due to work in the car park staff helped us to park just round the corner. Complimentary drinks on arrival Rooms good size, beds comfy. Need to book restaurant early as when we came back from shopping it was fully booked. 10 minute walk into centre, ideal location .

It is a more elevated B&B experience but with the same homey feeling, the property is beautiful, the staff is kind and friendly, you can totally feel the British vibe all around.

Only stayed one night for a quick visit to York but received a warm welcome from all the staff. It was really quick and easy to walk into the centre of York from the hotel. The breakfast was lovely.We had such a lovely time we will definitely try to return for the Christmas market later this year.

looked like a retirement home on arrival how wrong were we everyone very friendly staff and guests room clean and tidy bathroom could do with a spruce up but overall okay Shout out to the young lady who was on the bar nothing to much trouble ordered a taxi for us changed our glasses made us feel realy welcome
