There was no heating on the floor we stayed and this was on the coldest night of the year so far! We had to spend the Friday night in our room under the duvets in our coats and hats and gloves! Not the best 50th birthday surprise I was planning for my sister!

It’s shabby in areas .
The windows didn’t close properly in our room so the noise from outside was very loud.
Fantastic stay in central Liverpool with an LFC theme. Loved the Jacuzzi bath, although I can't help wondering what Bill would have made of all the luxury :-)
We only stayed one night and overall it was a comfortable stay, the room was lovely with a stunning bathroom. It was a shame the dressing table was looking very tired and out of place with the rest of the furniture, the pillows on the bed were very flat so could do with replacing.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was a little chaotic as there was so many guests and nowhere to sit but the staff did their best to accommodate everyone.
This property was a perfect distance from the train station. It was easy to get to the major attractions including popular bars and clubs like the Cavern Pub. The room was clean and as expected but the WIFI was horrible. Could not get wifi in the hotel room and could only use it in the lobby. Just something to be aware of if you are staying here.
The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was AMAZING! The food was delicious. Overall, the perfect night. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Liverpool. 5 stars all round.
Could not believe how nice our room was for the money.We had a room with 2 large double beds + 2 bathrooms.One bath you could fit at least 3 people.

Definitely stay again when in Liverpool
The 1st day we arrived at the shankley hotel we were greeted straight away. Staff were very welcoming. Got to our room noticed lots of burn marks on the carpet and room was in need of a refurbishment.The carpet was wet but assumed this had been carpet cleaned. Reported this to reception and the receptionist was going to send up the house keeper but we thought this had already been done, so not to worry. The following day I could smell urine on the carpet. Reported this immediately and we were upgraded. The lady behind reception was brilliant and couldn't apologise enough. The room we were moved to was beautiful. Although was still modified that we were in a room where someone had urinated on the carpet right next to the bed, left feeling let down as this was a present for my mums 70th birthday.
Lovely hotel good for a girls stop over only fault is lenght of time it.took to check in at desk even tho checked in online then meaning didnt have time to put bags in room before heading out to a reservation so desk said concierge would put.bags in for us only to find that wasnt the case when we arrived back and had to wait for the bags to be found. But thats our only criticism staff are friendly, hotels nice, beds comfortable value is good.
