Reception staff were great, really friendly and checkin was quick and easy. In the room our bedside lights did not work, so had to have full lights on all the time. Toilet door did not have a catch so needed to lock to keep it closed. Window wouldn't close and was open all the time, good job it has triple glazing. Not enough tea making facilities...only enough milk, teabags and coffee to make 1 drink a day per person. Castaway bar... great service, good food really tasty.

Stayed at the Liner for 2 night pre cruise and found it to be very nice. The decor is very old ship like which we liked. The rooms wee spacious and clean however they were very warm 5th floor if the window was open you could clearly hear every train announcement from Lime Street station however close the main window and the secondary glazing and the noise was very minimal, this however added to the heat in the room. A large fan was provided and we used this which also helped. The location is great for seeing the sites in Liverpool and only 100m from Lime Street Station as well. If driving the car park is free just notify reception on arrival. We paid for breakfast and again a great selection of cereals fruits and cooked breakfast was available and worth the £12.50 extra. The adjacent bar has a happy hour giving 2/1 drinks between 6 and 8 pm but even without prices were not bad for a city bar. Overall we had a great stay and would use this hotel again even take the train the next time due to its location.

Executive Room.
The Liner is a great place to stay. We had an executive room on the 5th floor loads of room and a very large bed. Stayed in the same room last year very clean, nothing is to much trouble for the staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is plentiful and reasonable price .We also ate in the restaurant the meals were very good and also reasonably priced. All in all a very good place to have a break in Liverpool.

This hotel was in a brilliant location, very convenient for what we wanted. It was nice and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a twin, as the doubles were already booked, the bed was so uncomfortable and the pillows were very flat, one wasn't enough and 2 were too much. It was quite warm in the room, but an industrial fan was provided, unfortunately the lowest setting, was like a helicopter taking off, so it didn't stay on for long. The breakfast was good, with lots of choice, but for such a big hotel, the breakfast room, was very small and there were often queues. For a night or 2 it is worth a stay, for convenience and free parking alone.
