Pros: Clean, comfortable, and convenient to the beach and snorkeling at Black Rock. The staff we interacted with was fantastic. The valet named Buddy was an awesome info provider for all kinds of things. Cons: the breakfast “buffet” was a scam. We paid $30 per person for what is called a “Continental Breakfast” and is free in most hotels in the US (rubbery scrambled eggs, warm commercially packaged potatoes, paper thin bacon, a couple of fruit choices, packaged cereal, and yogurt). The daily resort fee of $35 was excessive for lacking amenities such as a gym, hot tub, working outdoor showers to get the sand off, & chairs for the beach at the property you don’t have to pay extra for. ,Overall it was a nice place and besides the ridiculous breakfast buffet we were happy with our stay,

Upon arrival at the hotel, I encountered an unpleasant experience right from check-in. The staff at the front desk were noticeably rude, adding to the frustration of waiting in a long line. Rather than acknowledging the delay or offering an apology, the staff member dismissively remarked, "It's only one line," which felt highly unprofessional. Due to inadequate signage, I ended up parking on the first floor, where the valet parking was. The way the parking staff communicated this to me was also quite off-putting, lacking any semblance of courtesy. The hotel was also undergoing significant construction, creating a chaotic atmosphere. Compounding my discomfort was a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the premises, reminiscent of a bug killer or some chemical treatment. Honestly, I regret choosing to stay at this establishment.

A+ stay at this beautiful historical property!
We LOVED our visit at the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel! Every single person we encountered was 10/10 with Hawaiian hospitality and service, starting with the man at reception who was exceptionally kind and accommodating (Mahalo nui, Alvin!) and really made our stay. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious with many juice options like guava. Social note to management: it was very much appreciated you don’t use electric noisy blowers to maintain the landscape. We were stunned and thrilled that instead of noisy appliances, the wonderful landscape and horticulture team were utilizing rakes. It makes a big difference in ambience and we really appreciate it!

I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Everyone was so warm, and friendly—especially the house keeping staff. Having Maui Brewing Company right there on the property was wonderful. And we took full advantage of the fact that Teralani Sailing Adventures launches from the beach right in front of the Outrigger Resort. They are the best! And the farewell ceremony was the clincher; so moving, educational and spiritual. Next time, we will spend more time with the dedicated folks in the Outrigger Cultural Center. Easy check in. Housekeeping staff were superb. Liked the good bye ceremony. Felt there were added fees that I hadn't expected - parking included about 4 charges per day, and the resort fee that I thought was already paid. Easy to get to.

This resort is really special, low key and the location is wonderful. The newly renovated rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Having the Hawaiian cultural center on the site enhances the experience.

The ocean view room offered a beautiful view of the ocean and the mountains. The location was perfect. Right on the beach, Maui Brewing Co on site and a short walk to Whaler’s village which we frequented for breakfast, snacks and convenience items.

The front staff didn't seem to be enjoying their jobs, makes one wonder about management. The housekeeping staff were the nicest and most pleasant. First time, after many stays in Maui, to see so many bugs in the room.

Good overall beach location and proximity to Whalers Village. Outdoor showers were broken, made it hard to rinse off sand. At check-in we learned there was a hula contest. This made the property too busy for us and the food trucks and vendor fair made it hard to enjoy our ocean view at sunset and evening.
