I like the Golden Nugget. Although it is an older property, the staff is very good, and the eating options are good and convenient. The only negative issue is that you have to text a number to get your room made up and replenished consumables, and you pay $46 a day resort fee for this. However, no matter how many times I texted the service number I could never get my room made up!

I would not stay in the Carson tower again. Delivery trucks show up around 3:30 am with backup safety beepers going off.

Staying at the Golden Nugget was perfect to take in the sites and sounds of Freemont St. The hotel has multiple dining options but a standard room is less than what you’d expect. No coffee maker, no fridge!! A daily resort fee of just under $50US/day was charged to our room for complimentary water in your room and wifi. UNBELIEVABLE. The pool was closed for the season. It cost roughly $30US to get a cab to the Strip. Probably wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

Loved the location, right on Freemont. You can tell the hotel is older and I wasn’t expecting perfection but the shower had a bunch of long black hair stuck to the wall…. Boyfriend and I are blonde. The bed and pillows were amazing!

Check in was terrible the reception staff had no clue and were rude. Room was clean. One of our party was electrocuted by the lamp in the room. This was reported and was dismissed by reception as not their problem and referred us to security. Terrible customer service.
