I booked what was supposed to be a queen bed, but it felt more like a full (a fairly common issue in many hotels). A few other minor problems came up, but the management was very responsive and pleasant to deal with. The value for money here is quite high, and the front desk remains staffed even late into the night.
The general area felt safer than I expected (nights were pretty quiet, and taking the F line back in the evening felt safe). In that small stretch of street, this place is definitely the nicest (and brightest)—once you arrive, you’ll see that not many properties around there are as well-lit. However, there’s a short segment with no lighting when walking back from the F line, and in the morning near the food stalls, a few sketchy individuals made me uneasy.
Overall, the management team was extremely proactive, which I really appreciated. One last note: booking through Expedia often ends up costing more (it’s usually cheaper to call or email the hotel directly).
